Aquatic Plants, Fish’s Friend or Foe?

Saturday, July 12th 10:00 am – 2:00pm – Barn Classroom, Muscoot Farm, Route 100, Yorktown Heights

Aquatic plants are an important element of fish habitat but all species are not created equally.  Join NYC DEP’s Invasive Species Biologist and Fisheries Biologist to learn how to identify the variety of aquatic plant life in Muscoot Reservoir and learn which plants provide excellent fish habitat and which invasive plants could be a real problem.  Gain insight into areas that might be good fishing spots and areas to avoid at certain times of the year.  Samples will be available for hands-on discovery.
