Bashakill Area Association Invasive Species Lecture

The BKAA urges members and friends to attend an informative INVASIVE SPECIES LECTURE on Wednesday, July 12, 2017, 6:30-8 p.m. at the library, 128 Sullivan Street, Wurtsboro, New York 12790.

Leah Rudge, BKAA member, Nature Watch Volunteer, and Sam's Point Preserve intern, will discuss invasives: What they are? Why they are important? How they can be controlled on our property and elsewhere (see attachment). Additionally, Pam Ashley, BKAA member and environmental professional, will apprise attendees of a future BKAA pilot project to eradicate Japanese barberry from selected Bashakill Wildlife Management Area acreage. She will also sign-up potential project participants.
