Cary Institute: Invasive Species Walk

On Saturday, July 16 at 10 a.m. join Cary Institute Manager of Field Research and Outdoor Programs, Mike Fargione, for a walk on the Cary grounds.

Learn how common invaders in our fields and forests impact native plants and animals, and why they are harmful for wildlife and pollinator habitat, forest regeneration, and soil health.

Current New York State regulations and environmentally-sensitive management techniques will be discussed. Wear hiking shoes and bring drinking water.

The event will begin at the Cary Institute's main campus parking area,
