Free-A-Tree Invasive Vine Removal

WHAT: Join Groundwork Hudson Valley in combatting a variety of invasive vines along the Old Croton Aqueduct. Help us free the trees that provide shade for recreation and habitat for wildlife. We will provide tools, gloves, and snacks on the day of! No previous experience necessary!

WHEN: Saturday, December 9th from 10-1PM (No Raindate)

WHERE: Old Croton Aqueduct Trail in Yonkers by Mclean Ave

Directions for Vehicles: For those using GPS to find the work site, please use 113 Lawton Street Yonkers NY 10705. You will find sign and volunteers directing participants at this site. Street parking can be found on Lawton and adjacent streets.

Directions for Public Transit: For those using public transit, participants can take the BeeLine 4 Bus to Bedford Park to McLean Ave and Lawton Street Stop. Walk up Lawton and see signs and volunteers directing you to the work site.

TO BRING: Please bring your own water. Dress in layers, wear good shoes, gloves. Bring your own tools if you can (loppers, clippers, hand saws)--we will have some available for volunteers. We'll also have hot drinks and snacks.
