Join us as we return to the Oak Street Loop section of the Bronx River Pathway in Mount Vernon. This is another awkward site (this section of the pathway was isolated when the state modified the Cross County Parkway decades ago.) which needs our attention. To reach where we'll be working, take the BR Parkway north and take EXIT 11E (Cross County Parkway-Mt. Vernon). 150 feet or so on the exit ramp, turn right onto the Metro-North service road. Look for orange traffic cones and my Black Dodge Pick-up. We'll meet and work from there. As always, tools and gloves to lend and short training session for newbies. PLEASE NOTE that if you're coming from north of Mt. Vernon, you'll have to take the BR SOUTH, exit at 10B Bronx River Rd., go left on BR Rd. for a bit and get back on the Parkway North to get to Exit 11E.
Hope to see you there.
