Learning to Control Invasives on Your Property at Clearpool Model Forest

Date:
Saturday, June 7, 2014 - 10:00am to 2:00pm
Location:
Carmel

Sponsored by Green Chimney's Model Forest.

Invasive plants can be the bane of a landowner’s existence. From Japanese barberry to black swallowwort, these plants can take over whole sections of property, reducing native plant diversity and affecting local wildlife.

We will hike to our own Model Forest to view an example of ongoing back swallowwort control. We will also spend time outdoors identifying local invasive plants. Management tips and other resources for local landowners will be provided.

Moderate-level hike; lunch included. Fee $15. Registration required.
