LINPI 4th Native Plant Symposium "Flora for Fauna" November 17, 2017

Date:
Friday, November 17, 2017 - 8:00am to 5:00pm
Location:
Farmingdale State College Farmingdale, NY

As our natural resources and native habitats dwindle, and the last of our available open spaces become developed, it is incumbent upon landowners, businesses, municipalities, and the public to collectively provide both the stewardship and the habitat that local native fauna require to improve biodiversity, support local wildlife populations, and keep the native ecosystems upon which we depend healthy and thriving. The production and incorporation of ecotypic (genetically) native plants into our regional landscape requires dedication to this progressive effort and many partners.  The 4th LINPI Native Plant Symposium, “Flora for Fauna” brings together top plant, restoration, and wildlife professionals to share their vision, leadership and expertise at this one day educational event, to encourage the use and stimulate a commerical supply of ecotypic flora for the benefit of regional fauna.

LINPI brings together top native plant professionals to share their vision, leadership, and experience related to “Flora for Fauna” to help stimulate the supply and as well as drive the demand of ecotypic native plants, thereby directly supporting and furthering your organizational goals.

Keynote speaker is Mr. Arthur Haines, author of the New England Wildflower Society’s Flora Novae Angliae the region’s newest and updated floristic taxonomic reference.
