Westchester Land Trust: Invasives Removal

Date:
Wednesday, July 13, 2016 - 9:00am to 12:00pm
Location:
Pound Ridge, NY

Westchester Land Trust will be removing invasive plants from the Westchester Wilderness Walk/Zofnass Family Preserve.

The Westchester Land Trust is hosting a free, public event. Volunteers will be actively removing invsaive plants (bittersweet, burning bush, barberry) from a beautiful nature preserve where NYBG botanists have found over 400 native plants/fungi. This botanical gem has only a few hotspots of invasive plants, which we are working to suppress and/or eradicate.

Now in year 4 of this restoration effort, we are really seeing some progress - we are almost done! Come be a force for nature!

Please RSVP to Tate@westchesterlandtrust.org

All ages welcome. Event participation is free.

Please bring work gloves, pruning shears, loppers if you have them.

WLT will provide all necessary tools. Please bring your own water and appropriate field clothing.
