Sign-up NowThis event is co-hosted by Wild East Women and is focused on bringing together people who identify as female and their advocates in a supportive, non-judgmental environment to learn about the joys of nature and giving back to the outdoors.

Celebrating National Public Lands Day well be giving back to the Appalachian Trail, a National Scenic Trail.

Join the New York-New Jersey Trail Conference's Invasives Strike Force in restoring habitat in Harriman State Park along the Appalachian Trail by removing invasive plants and making room for native species. Anyone is welcome to participate. No experience is necessary; we provide on-the-job training. You will need to bring leather work gloves, plenty of water, and a lunch you can eat on the trails. We provide the tools.

Work site is approximately 3/4 mile from the parking area over relatively level but rocky and uneven trail.

Exact meeting place and more details will be provided upon sign-up. Advance registration is required.

For volunteers under age 18, please submit a Guardian Consent form to volunteer@nynjtc.org prior to the volunteer day or bring the paper form the day of. A parent or guardian must be present for the volunteer day.
