Euphoriba esula: Leafy spurge
- Growth form: strongly rooted broadleaf weed growing 30-70 cm tall
- Leaf: principal leaves are alternate, broadly linear to narrowly oblong, 3-9 cm long and 3-8 mm wide. Leaves below the flowers are heart-shaped.
- Flower: lack sepals and petals. A central female flower is surrounded by five groups of male flowers
- Fruit: small, three-chambered capsule 3-3.5 mm long and the seed is ellipsoid
