from Vocabulary.com... A swarm is a good word for a large group of bees going on the attack - not good news. Like bees, any group of people or animals can be considered a swarm if they act together and quickly - even fiercely. (our emphasis!)
The Day's Agenda:

- 12:30pm Break for lunch (bring brown bag & water--we'll provide hot drinks). Swap stories. Share vine cutting tips. List potential next "swarm" locations & dates. Equipment swap potentials.

- 3:00pm Wrap Up
*Where
1 Haarlem Avenue, White Plains, NY 10603
Access is from Exit 24 (Fisher Lane) on the Bronx River Parkway. Also easy to get to by Metro North (Hartsdale Station). We will meet here at the Metro-North commuter parking lot which is barely used on weekends.
* All weather dependent. If it's really cold or miserable, we'll go for the rain date, Saturday, April 4th, same time and place. Please feel free to attend as much as you can. Some people will be coming in the morning, others may not make it until lunch and then cut in the afternoon.
To Bring
Please bring your own lunch and water. Dress in layers, wear good shoes, gloves. Bring your own tools if you can (loppers, clippers, hand saws)--we will have some available for volunteers. We'll provide hard hats and safety vests for those working along the parkway. We'll also have hot drinks.
Please feel free to communicate through Facebook.
(but be SURE to REGISTER first!)
