Benefits of Partnership
Bi-monthly LHPRISM meetings provide partners with opportunities to share knowledge and to collaborate on projects.
Access to Expertise
Our partners are at the forefront of regional invasive species research and development of Best Management Practices. Partners can access and contribute to our collective knowledge on regional invasives management issues.
LHPRISM is able to allocate resources from the New York Environmental Protection Fund to project that support the mission of the PRISM.
Any organization involved in invasive species education, management, surveying, or mapping is eligible to join. We have partners from local businesses, non-profits, government, and local groups, all of whom are dedicated to protecting our region from the spread of invasive species.
To utilize the many benefits of Partnership, organizations are required to do the following:
- Sign the Partner Agreement and submit it to the PRISM Coordinator
- Attend at least 3 of the 5 partner meetings each year
- Submit an annual summary of the invasive species activities of your organization
- Support the LHPRISM strategic plan and work cooperatively with other partners
