This meeting’s theme will be on invasive pests and pathogens –strategies, ongoing projects and partnerships. It will feature talks from partners and collaborators on efforts to restore balance back to systems impacted by beech leaf disease, hemlock woolly adelgid, and spotted lanternfly- what current methods and experimental treatments, removal and restoration techniques are being employed in our region including where we stand with biocontrol options in the area. There’s been a lot of movement on these focal topics and it’s time we all came together to share updates and lessons learned.
Please note that we will also dedicate a good chunk of time for networking with the purpose of individuals and groups meeting to think hard about project collaborations and sharing resources and ideas for joint grant opportunities. There are a lot of interesting funding options out there and we want to support and promote cooperation on these opportunities, if applicable.
